Cut Flower Vase Life

It's my favorite time of the year, dahlia season! Thanks to the recent rain and cooler temperatures our dahlias are finally blooming.

Holy gladioli! The gladioli are blooming! The word gladiolus means "little sword" in latin. Gladioli symbolize strong character, moral integrity, and inner power. They are the official birth flower for those born in the month of August.

Iceland poppies are incredibly beautiful. I love their delicate, fluttery petals and their long stems which sometimes develop crazy twists and turns. Each flower is a precious treasure, all the more so because they are difficult to grow.
