First Frost

In case you were wondering if things froze last night, yes, they did.

We had our first frost and our first freeze last night marking the end of the growing season.

Fortunately, we knew this was coming, and I cut every flower I could yesterday, so the walk-in cooler is full of flowers and we should have bouquets available at the flower cart for a few more days.

Thank you so much to everyone who supported the flower stand this season. Extra thank you to everyone who returned vases, and double extra thank you to those who donated vases! It's a huge help to have a variety of vases and containers for all the different size flowers, and it means I can spend more time harvesting and planting (and weeding) instead of hunting for vases. Even though there will be no more flowers to harvest this season, I am busy planting spring bulbs getting ready for next season. It's been fun for me to see which bouquets are scooped up first at the flower stand and what colors and varieties everyone prefers. Usually my favorites are the last to go. :/

Enjoy these beautiful days of fall. You know what's coming.

Goodbye, my beautiful friends. I loved spending the summer with you.
