The Shea Flower Farm flower cart is open for the season starting today, May 15th. We have limited flower availability this early in the New Hampshire growing season, but we'll try to get a few bouquets out there every day.
Our farm stand is located roadside at 229 Broad Street (Rt. 130) in Hollis. We offer self-serve ready made bouquets on the honor system. Pay by cash or check $20 per bouquet in the white lock box, or credit or debit card via our website. A poster on the stand has a QR code to help you easily navigate website payment. There is an $0.89 transaction fee for card purchases.
Today we have pink tulips with crabapple blossoms, yellow ranunculus, and pink and white ranunculus. Ranunculus, also called Persian buttercup, is a cool season flower with many layers of thin petals like tissue paper. I started the ranunculus back in January in my walk-in cooler. Ironically, I had to grow it in my cooler because it's too cold to grow it outside. Soon it will be too hot to grow it outside since ranunculus like daytime temperatures between 55-65 degrees and nighttime temperatures between 40 and 50. Enjoy them while they last since their season is fleeting. It's a beautiful flower.
Don't forget it's time to start planting dahlias! Visit our online dahlia tuber shop and grow this amazing flower in your yard.
