Anticipation of spring: starting seedlings under grow lights in the middle of winter
Anticipation of spring: starting seedlings under grow lights in the middle of winter

It's February 17th and I started my first seeds of the season today. There is about 18 inches of snow on the ground here in southern New Hampshire, and the temperature outside is in the low 20's. It's hard to believe that spring will be here soon, but the days are getting longer and the sunlight is getting brighter, so it's time to get growing! Today I sowed three trays of snapdragons, Iceland poppies and Canterbury Bells.
