The final harvest of 2025

When you are a farmer in New Hampshire, you know you’re going to have a great harvest of rocks. These all came from one 100’ long flower bed, and it’s the third year this bed was planted, so I’ve had two rock harvests from this row that were both bigger than this one, and “all” the rocks were removed when it was rototilled three years ago. After digging the dahlia tubers, de-rocking, and raking the row, I planted a winter cover crop and the bed is now all tucked in for its winter nap, just in time for a lovely rain shower to help my cover crop germinate.
Rock on, New Hampshire farmers, rock on.
